Best Sports Movies of All Time

After having a conversation with a friend about good sports movies, we started debating which ones were the best of all time. We found it nearly impossible to make a top 10, because there are so many arguments for a ton of films. So in no particular order, here are some movies that I thought were good enough to talk about.

Remember the Titans- This movie had a great story line. How a football team overcame differences in race and learned how to be friends and a great football team. What makes this even better is the fact that it was based on a true story. Everyone I know loves this movie and rightfully so. If you haven't seen it I strongly suggest it.
Rating- 9/10

Rudy- A classic football story, also based on real mans life, is one of the most inspirational movies of all time. Throughout the movie you will find yourself wanting Rudy to make it because he has so much heart. It's a movie where you don't have to be a football fan to appreciate what he accomplished. This is my personal favorite, not only because I love Notre Dame football, but it is truly a good movie.
Rating-10/10

Hoosiers- Another classic movie about a high school basketball team from Indiana. Gene Hackman is great in this movie and it is great to see how the team improves so drastically after learning to trust what their coach has told them. I feel like this is a must-see and hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Rating-9/10

Rocky- Rocky 1,2,3, and 4 were awesome. The 5th one was too different and the recent 6th one was just unnecessary. Even though these are great sports stories, I feel like it is more than that. It's a great showing of what hard work and heart get you. These American classics and if you haven't seen them get on it.
Rating for the whole series- 8.5/10

Field of Dreams- Kevin Costner was never really a great actor, but this movie is so perfect, I have to give him props. Any baseball fan would really love this. It's a great story on a mans calling to baseball and what he does for the history of the game. Another must-see.
Rating-9.5/10

Now although there are many other movies that deserve to be in the discussion, I don't have the time or knowledge of all of them to put them up. Here are a few other good ones that are worth checking out.

A League of Their Own
Bull Durham
Miracle
Caddyshack
