Normally, I don't post just to mention a small thing like this. But, I'm watching highlights of the Titans/Ravens game on Sportscenter when Merril Hodge nearly made my brain explode. After the early TD throw from Joe FlaccO (You gotta yell it!) to Derrick Mason, Merrill says, in complete seriousness,"Flacco has quickly become the best deep ball thrower in the league."
Are you kidding me?!? The kid throws a beautiful ball, there's no denying that. But it is an abortion to say that Joe FlaccO(!) throws the best deep ball in the NFL! There had to have been zero statistical research or film work done before that absurd statement. Hodge is consistently an idiot, so I shouldn't be surprised, but this statement was flat-out retarted. Even Marshawn Lynch probably did a double-take and he has the brain capacity of a small rodent (hey, I still love him though. BEAST MODE.)
Wait a second! As I'm writing this, he just said it again! I just lost consciousness. Does Merril realize that the league for Joe Flacco is no longer Division 1AA football? Joe FlaccO(!) throws a better deep ball than Peyton Manning? Really? Better than Drew Brees? Really? Better than Tom Brady? Kurt Warner? Donovan McNabb? REALLY!?!?
